Wall texture paint: a finish built into the wall

Texture paint is not wallpaper and not flat paint. It is a thicker coating that our team applies by hand and tool to give the wall a pattern or feel, such as a rough stone look, soft waves, lines or a smooth plaster style. Once it is on, it becomes part of the wall.

Where texture works best

  • Feature walls behind a TV, sofa or bed, where you want depth without pattern.
  • Entrances, stairwells and corridors, where texture hides small knocks and marks better than flat paint.
  • Offices and shops that want a clean, modern look.
  • Outside walls and boundary walls, where a textured coat is a common finish in Pakistani homes.

Texture or wallpaper?

Texture is a good choice for walls that get touched and bumped, and for areas where wallpaper would not suit, such as outdoor walls. Wallpaper gives you printed patterns and is quicker to change later. If you like a printed pattern, see our wallpapers. If you want a finished feature wall with panels and lights, look at media walls.

How the job works

  • See it first. Send a photo of the wall and a picture of the look you like. Hum aap ki deewar ki photo dekh kar sahi texture ka mashwara dein ge.
  • Home visit. Book a visit and we check the wall surface, dampness and size. There is a small visit fee, fully adjusted in your bill if you go ahead.
  • Preparation. Cracks and loose plaster are fixed first so the texture holds well.
  • Application. Our team applies the texture and the final colour coat.

Colour can be matched to your room. You can also pick a shade from our Jotun paint range for the top coat.

The dampness should be fixed first. Texture on a damp wall can crack or peel, so we check this on the home visit.
