Chick blinds, or chiks, are made from thin strips of bamboo tied together. They have been used in homes across Pakistan for a long time because they do a simple job well. What to expect from bamboo
Chick blinds filter light. They do not block it. You will still see some light and movement through them, especially from the dark side. For privacy at night, or a dark room, choose blackout roller blinds for indoor windows. Bamboo is a natural material, so colour and texture can vary slightly from piece to piece. Strong rain and constant wet weather will age it faster, so a covered veranda is the ideal spot.
Measuring a veranda or opening
Measure the width between the pillars or the edges of the opening, and the drop from where the blind will hang to where it should stop. For wide verandas, several blinds side by side are often easier to roll than one very wide blind. Tell us the full width and we will suggest how to split it. If you measure yourself, the sizes are your responsibility. If you book a home visit, our team measures and takes responsibility. The small visit fee is adjusted in your bill when you order.
