How to choose wooden flooring for your home or office

Most people who ask for wooden flooring in Islamabad want the look of real wood without the cost and care of solid timber. Laminate gives you that. It is a printed wood design on a strong core board, with a hard top layer that resists scratches. We also stock vinyl sheet and carpet tiles for rooms where laminate is not the right fit.

Which type suits which room

• HDF laminate: our main range for bedrooms, lounges and drawing rooms. HDF (high density fibreboard) is denser than MDF, so it feels solid underfoot. See the HDF flooring range, including our 8mm HDF Laminate Flooring in 8 shades.
• MDF laminate: a lighter option for guest rooms, rented homes and low-traffic spaces. See MDF flooring.
• Vinyl sheet: a practical choice for kitchens, stores and busy office areas where spills happen. See vinyl flooring.
• Carpet tiles: quiet and soft for offices and study rooms. See carpet tiles.

Laminate should not go in wet bathrooms or anywhere water stands on the floor. For those areas, ask us about other options.

How to choose

Start with the room and how much traffic it gets. Then pick a shade that works with your walls and furniture. Light oak shades make small rooms feel bigger. Darker shades like walnut hide everyday marks and suit formal drawing rooms. It helps to see shades in daylight, so visit the shop and compare the boards side by side.

Measuring, delivery and fitting

Flooring is sold by area, so you need your room size. Our room calculator works out the quantity, with a small allowance for cutting. If you would rather we measure, book a home visit. There is a small visit fee, and it is fully adjusted in your bill if you order. Our own team delivers and fits across Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Delivery starts at Rs 500, and larger orders may cost more, which we confirm before you pay.
